I needed a new pair of garden boots. I searched
high and low. I couldn’t find a light weight boot – all were made
for hiking or construction. So I went to the people who really
understand leather boots and shoes, the Russell Moccasin Company in
Berlin, Wisconsin. The Rebecca Kolls Gardening Shoe is manufactured
to my specs by them. . Russell has outfitted outdoorsmen and women
with the finest, hand made leather moccasin style boots and shoes
for more than 107 years. When I asked the company if they could
make up a special shoe, specifically for avid gardeners like you and
me, they responded with the most comfortable and totally fun shoe I
have ever worn.
My Rebecca Kolls Gardening Shoe is made from the
finest materials available. We designed the shoe to be practical,
comfortable...and fun! My gardening shoe is fashioned from rich
caramel Ebbtide leather that is soft, durable and waterproof. For
fun...and function...we added colorful cotton duck inserts in bright
red, cobalt blue, emerald green or bright yellow. The inserts are
breathable to maintain your comfort zone all gardening season long.
The super comfortable natural Christie foam wedge sole has very
little tread so it won’t pick up mud. The top height of the shoe is
just over the ankle to provide superb ankle support when you are out
working in the garden, orchard or woods. As a finishing touch my
Gardening Shoe is fitted with high quality nickel lacing eyelets
plus easy on/easy off quick lace studs. And just for fun, the first
eyelets are adorned with chrome watering cans. Color coordinated
laces in yellow, red, blue or green are included.

Each pair of Rebecca Kolls Gardening shoes is
hand lasted, meaning...a layer of leather is hand stretched over and
completely around a wood or plastic last during the sewing process,
in the true moccasin-style tradition. A hand molded, wrap around
outer sole provides additional foot support and added comfort under
foot.
Moccasin construction, devised the American
Indian and Eskimo hundreds of years ago, was a great idea then and
continues to be. In a Russell moccasin-style boot your foot rests
on two layers of soft premium leather. Your foot is cradled in a
hammock of fine leather rather than resting on top of a hard sole.
With wear, the Rebecca Kolls Gardening Shoe learns the shape of your
feet, molding to your foot for unparalleled comfort. Unlike
traditional shoes, there are no artificial fillers in my
shoes...just premium quality leather under foot. That is why my
